This song is so blue, so emotional and poetic that I can't help but put this up. I guess I have always been attracted to sadness in one way or another. So here it is again, another bluesy jazzy song. I just want to share with everybody this song which is sung by my favouritest jpop group: M-flo. Even though Lisa has left the group and gone on to establish her own singing career, I still enjoy Lisa's unique singing style and voice. (although I know her fanbase has dropped bcos of this decision.) Her vocal range is huge, from deep low to pitch high and that is where her talent lies. I'm a soprano and i can't hit anything lower than alto. Asking me to sing a guy's song (Z chen style) is really painful for my throat. Verbal and Dj Taku still rocks and I look forward to more m-flo albums and collaborations with other artists. Lisa is mixed blood!!

m-flo loves - Cosmicolor

HMM! 28/3/07 marks yet another release of m-flo loves album! COSMICOLOR! I was trying to write a post for COSMICOLOR and the accidentally pressed something and the entire post was gone, right before my eyes.

As you all know, or probably dunno, I love m-flo! You can always to refer to the 2006 Aug posts about m-flo loves, 2nd album. This will be the last of the m-flo loves album. Huh, why ah? No more collaboration with random singers oredi? Not too sure, but rumors are saying that they are either splitting up or will be re-united with LISA. I hope the latter one is true. LISA have a amazingly sweet voice and i pray and hope m-flo wldn't quit the music scene! It's cool to hear new music from m-flo. They are so amazing. Everything abt their music is originality, creativity and coolness.

m-flo loves Crystal Kay - Love Dun Cry

This video is kinda cheesy, but i think m-flo is cool. Crystal kay looked silly when she turned around and "woah", but i think she is one cool lady. If you watched Nodame Cantabile anime, the ending single is sang by her. She is black, i wonder how she managed to make a name for herself in xenophobic japan, where gaijins are regarded as powerful ailens. Kudos to Crystal Kay, bet it wasn't easy for her to make people accept her as a black singer who can sing Japanese songs in Japan. Hmm..maybe she is a half...I like when VERBAL shows off his POW! bling, its so cool! Their signature black sunglasses are getting more and more outrageous.

m-flo + Monkey Majik

This video is kinda haha. Nah, i tot the music didn't really suit m-flo's style. It was more like Monkey Majik, than m-flo. But, i get to see VERBAL and TAKU all jumpy and mad in this video, so its still ok. Oh yayaya, VERBAL is korean! His English so zai! Better than the average Japanese or Koreans.

May J feat VERBAL. - HERE WE GO

This is a freaking nice song, catchy. I like it. Bet you guys will drool over May J's body. She is like..omg..so slim. I kept looking @ her stomach, hoping to see a glimpse of FAT! But, dun have!

Verbal looks just as cute, with his dimples, as always. May J looks so flashy and hot.

m-flo loves Doping Panda - She loves the Cream

This is one of those MTV that doesn't feature any member of m-flo. Instead it features the SPACE POLICE who looks like a giant sized gorilla, and all the underground gangs and villans of TOKYO. watashi wa tokyo suki~ You will either love this PV or hate it, cos the art is so ugly. It's that extreme. It does reminds me of the art that is used to draw "Gorillaz". You know that english group who nv show their real faces before.

m-flo loves emi hinouchi & ryohei yamamoto ~ SUMMER TIME LOVE

This MV is kinda interesting, its one of the most kinky videos tt m-flo ever had, with so many bikini clad ladies in the background...and it has many contrasting visuals inside..

the interesting part is, the beginning and the ending:

In the opening, we saw lotsa ladies trying to unbutton the pants off the guy
While the ending featured the ang moh lady trying off layers and layer of kimonos, and finally revealed a biniki clad lady with words "SUMMER TIME LOVE".

it seems to me that the guy is in hot demand, cos every girl wants a piece of him, while the ladies are the ones who are desperate, trying to get the guys' attention by wearing so little or trying to get rid of their kimonos...hmmm...

why so many ang moh za bor:

all the guys were pretty lucky, cos they were surrounded and companied by many ang moh beach babes...esp taku who was able to touch the bum of two ladies...hee...however, emi was accompanied by only one male model who looked like a heavily tattoo-ed chao beng...

it seems that in this MV, its really ok for the guys to be philandering, cos its cool to be seen ard so many babes, (feng liu ti tan) while the lady only get hugged by the chao beng...the age old notion of not frowning on the promiscuous nature of men is still somewhat deeply embedded in our subconsciousness...

Black and White Contrast:

lastly, there is a constant contrast between the traditional costumes (summer kimonos) and the modern day dressing(& binikis)...funny thing is, i dun see the guys decked in their swimwear...weird...probably, bcos the male body isn't as visually appealing as compared to the female body~

the ang moh za bors epitomise the influence of the western culture whereas the japanese ladies represent the traditional japanese culture...It seems to me that there is a constant juxtaposition of both traditional and modern ideas as well as cultures...Probably like mixing both traditional and modern stuff together, so as to obtain a hybrid of tt which is not entirely traditional nor modern...This juxtaposition stands out so clearly to me, bcos i recognise tt this is what m-flo has been doing all along...

Taking different genres of music (be it, hip hop, rap, jazz, acapella) and fusing them together to obtain a new hybrid of music...that have earned the acceptance of many endearing fans and widespread popularity nation wide and internationally!

(okie lah...think i a bit ki-siao, analysed this kind of stupid thing)

Well, enuff said, this is one hell of a visual treat for everybody..enjoy

m-flo loves MINMI - Lotta Love m&M mix

YO minnasan, watch this clip, its damn cool, sang and rapped by my fav j-hip hop group, m-flo feat MINMI..What is cool, is that m-flo doesn't appear in the clip, and got kiddies to act, lip synch and dance as adults partying in a club, amazing..i like!

I've been a fan of m-flo since my secondary school days...and man, they are so popular in Japan now, and their music is amazing, its like a fusion of techno, rap and club music. Currently, m-flo is made up of 2 guys, Taku Takahashi (DJ & Producer) and VERBAL(Rapper)...In the earlier days, m-flo actually had a female lead singer, by the name of LISA who has exceptionally sweet and high vocal range...and i noticed them during the HARI FENG again, and i was damn impressed by Verbal and LISA's command of english given the fact tt japanese dun speak good english...Then i learnt tt VERBAL started rapping while he went for exchange program in US, Boston, while LISA is half columbian and half japanese..that explains why!

I rekindled my love and passion for m-flo when i chanced upon some of their new songs on some music website, i fell in love with m-flo all over again, but was shocked to know that LISA left m-flo to pursure her own singing career. Now that, m-flo made it big in Japan, every female singer in Japan wants to collaborate with them in their songs and video shoots. All in all, m-flo is all about originality, creativity and fun! m-flo rocks big time and m-flo is short for "meteorite flow" (which might have something to do with Verbal's obsession with space).
I'm gonna get myself the lastest m-flo album @ HMV soon ;)
