welcome

It keeps coming back to me
I remember this pain
It spreads across my eyes
Everything is dull

Everyone's smiling, they're smiling
It pushes me far far away
I can't understand
Everything is blue

Can you hear me out there?

Will you hold me now Hold me now My frozen heart
I'm gazing from the distance and
I feel everything pass through me
I can't be alone right now
Will you hold me now Hold me now My frozen heart
I'm lost in a deep winter sleep
I can't seem to find my way out alone
Can you wake me

I know when I let it in
It hides love from this moment
So I guard it close
I watch the moves it makes

But it gets me, but it gets me
I wish I could understand how I
Could make it disappear, make it disappear

Anyone out there hear me now?

Will you hold me now Hold me now My frozen heart
Kiss my lips
and maybe you can take me to your world for now
I can't be alone right now
Will you hold me now Hold me now My frozen heart
Please make it all go away
Am I ever gonna feel myself again?
I hope I will

m-flo loves emi hinouchi & ryohei yamamoto ~ SUMMER TIME LOVE

This MV is kinda interesting, its one of the most kinky videos tt m-flo ever had, with so many bikini clad ladies in the background...and it has many contrasting visuals inside..

the interesting part is, the beginning and the ending:

In the opening, we saw lotsa ladies trying to unbutton the pants off the guy
While the ending featured the ang moh lady trying off layers and layer of kimonos, and finally revealed a biniki clad lady with words "SUMMER TIME LOVE".

it seems to me that the guy is in hot demand, cos every girl wants a piece of him, while the ladies are the ones who are desperate, trying to get the guys' attention by wearing so little or trying to get rid of their kimonos...hmmm...

why so many ang moh za bor:

all the guys were pretty lucky, cos they were surrounded and companied by many ang moh beach babes...esp taku who was able to touch the bum of two ladies...hee...however, emi was accompanied by only one male model who looked like a heavily tattoo-ed chao beng...

it seems that in this MV, its really ok for the guys to be philandering, cos its cool to be seen ard so many babes, (feng liu ti tan) while the lady only get hugged by the chao beng...the age old notion of not frowning on the promiscuous nature of men is still somewhat deeply embedded in our subconsciousness...

Black and White Contrast:

lastly, there is a constant contrast between the traditional costumes (summer kimonos) and the modern day dressing(& binikis)...funny thing is, i dun see the guys decked in their swimwear...weird...probably, bcos the male body isn't as visually appealing as compared to the female body~

the ang moh za bors epitomise the influence of the western culture whereas the japanese ladies represent the traditional japanese culture...It seems to me that there is a constant juxtaposition of both traditional and modern ideas as well as cultures...Probably like mixing both traditional and modern stuff together, so as to obtain a hybrid of tt which is not entirely traditional nor modern...This juxtaposition stands out so clearly to me, bcos i recognise tt this is what m-flo has been doing all along...

Taking different genres of music (be it, hip hop, rap, jazz, acapella) and fusing them together to obtain a new hybrid of music...that have earned the acceptance of many endearing fans and widespread popularity nation wide and internationally!

(okie lah...think i a bit ki-siao, analysed this kind of stupid thing)

Well, enuff said, this is one hell of a visual treat for everybody..enjoy

--First--
by KC Gan

I love because You first loved me
I live because of what You gave
You died, showed me how to live
Your mercy taught me to forgive

You came and poured yourself so free
Your love washed away my shame
And now, I can live again
I'm more of You and less of me

My first love
Forever You will be
My first breath
You're the life in me
My first joy
The world can never take from me
My covenant with You, Jesus

Your love falls down
Your love falls down
Your love falls down over me

m-flo loves MINMI - Lotta Love m&M mix

YO minnasan, watch this clip, its damn cool, sang and rapped by my fav j-hip hop group, m-flo feat MINMI..What is cool, is that m-flo doesn't appear in the clip, and got kiddies to act, lip synch and dance as adults partying in a club, amazing..i like!

I've been a fan of m-flo since my secondary school days...and man, they are so popular in Japan now, and their music is amazing, its like a fusion of techno, rap and club music. Currently, m-flo is made up of 2 guys, Taku Takahashi (DJ & Producer) and VERBAL(Rapper)...In the earlier days, m-flo actually had a female lead singer, by the name of LISA who has exceptionally sweet and high vocal range...and i noticed them during the HARI FENG again, and i was damn impressed by Verbal and LISA's command of english given the fact tt japanese dun speak good english...Then i learnt tt VERBAL started rapping while he went for exchange program in US, Boston, while LISA is half columbian and half japanese..that explains why!

I rekindled my love and passion for m-flo when i chanced upon some of their new songs on some music website, i fell in love with m-flo all over again, but was shocked to know that LISA left m-flo to pursure her own singing career. Now that, m-flo made it big in Japan, every female singer in Japan wants to collaborate with them in their songs and video shoots. All in all, m-flo is all about originality, creativity and fun! m-flo rocks big time and m-flo is short for "meteorite flow" (which might have something to do with Verbal's obsession with space).
I'm gonna get myself the lastest m-flo album @ HMV soon ;)

Sway MV

This is one of my personal favorite song, i nv get tired of it and i'm surprised to know that the singer, Bic Runga is of maori and chinese descent! Hope you guys like it...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bic Runga--Sway

Don't stray, don't ever go away

I should be much too smart for this

You know it gets the better of me

Sometimes, when you and I collide

I fall into an ocean of you, pull me out in time

Don't let me drown, let me down

I say it's all because of you

And here I go, losing my control

I'm practicing your name so I can say it to your face

It doesn't seem right, to look you in the eye

Let all the things you mean to me

Come tumbling out my mouth

Indeed it's time to tell you why

I say it's infinitely true

CHORUS:

Say you'll stay, don't come and go

Like you do

Sway my way, yeah I need to know

All about you

And there's no cure, and no way to be sure

Why everything's turned inside out

Instilling so much doubt

It makes me so tired - I feel so uninspired

My head is battling with my heart

My logic has been torn apart

And now it all turns sour

Come sweeten every afternoon

CHORUS TWICE

It's all because of you

It's all because of you

Now it all turns sour, come sweeten every afternoon

It's time to tell you why, I say it's infinitely true

CHORUS TWICE

It's all because of you
It's all because of you
It's all because of you

alrighty...here's something i found on this link,http://laichro.deviantart.com/gallery

Bakeneko (means Cat Monster literally)

The fanart done by this laichro guy, makes me wanna watch this anime...
an excerpt taken off from his webby...

"Artist's Comments
Does anyone know this Japanese horror anime?? Bakeneko is a beautiful anime I saw lately! It looks like an animated Ukiyo-e (traditional Japanese painting), with flat Japanese colours and washi (traditional Japanese paper) textures. It only has 3 episodes though, I hope they make a sequel!

Bakeneko is a legendary Japanese monster. When a cat gets very old it is believed to turn into a Bakeneko. This legend has a few different versions varying from region to region, but basically the Bakeneko can take the form of a human, has 3 or 7 tails, likes to lick oil, and avenges the grudge of the person who it's indebted to. The guy on the back of the pic is the main character, and he's a mysterious medicine seller whose name is not revealed.

If you like Japanese legends and Japanese themes, this anime is highly recommended!(I also recommend Mushishi!)"

See Not A Piece Of Me, View Me As A Whole

30 July 2006, SUNDAY

The ID awareness project @ IMM

OK...I'm part of this community service cca, in NTU..WSC (Welfare Service Club), RSPID (Regular Service Project for Intellectually Disabled)...
WE had our 1st ID awareness project @ IMM that sunday...it was seriously damn interesting...WE had alot of performances lined up to attract the public and to allow our ID trainees to perform for the public(build up their self-confidence)..

1st performance was this jam band, King Kong and Jane, formed by our very own NTU, CS students...They are good...and they offered their services to us for free...They helped to attract attention from the public...but pple weren't sure what was our objective, and they thought we were asking for $$ (which is the truth) and rejected our friendly and nice volunteers who approached them...but i dun blame them...however, i felt kinda dejected when 8 out of 10 pple kept rejecting me b4 i can finish saying wut i wanna say...

I mean, who isn't guilty of rejecting pple who asks for charity...i noe i'm...cos i will siam those kids in uniforms with their donation cans, standing along the alighting berth in bus interchanges and outside mrt entrances...sometimes, i'm just too lazy to reach out for my purse and put some coins inside...sometimes, i'm just in a hurry and too busy to take out my purse to donate some coins...SO I always try to walk my way out of their sight...

Sometimes, i see those old aunties who try to sell their 3 pckts of tissue paper to you in the hawker centres and i begin to doubt about their "plight"...i wonder if they are really that pitiful and are forced to sell 3 pckts of tissue paper for $1 everyday or are they part of a syndicate that wants to sponge $$ off us by misleading us into believing tt these old aunties are REALLY really pitiful and need our support in the form of $..

Our theme was "See not a piece of me, view me as a whole" and the main reason behind this slogan was that we wanted the public to donate $10 for every single piece of our gigantic jigsaw (think got 100 over pieces), while they get a free ID awareness project t-shirt and get the opportunity to leave a msg behind the jigsaw tt they donated... The completed jigsaw will be glued together and put on display @ Toa Payoh Hub for 1 week..think is during the mid aug..

ID PROJECT JIGSAW COMPLETE

But when the IDs came to perform and with the emcee trying her best to "educate n plead" with the public...pple bcame more open and were more willing to donate $10 to buy a piece of a 100-piece-jigsaw for our event..After every performance, the v enthu volunteers tried to get the aunties and uncles to donate $10...and i was very enthu when i saw my face on one of the pieces of the jigsaw and tried to ask 1 auntie to help me buy "face" and she was really nice to listen to what i had to say and agreed to donate to the-got-my-pic-jigsaw-piece...hahaha...(seems like i can't load the pic with my face!)
Click here to see my pic-jigsaw-piece

Trainees: Chen Sze, Fu Yan, Joanne, Gaya

Slowly,as more people saw our IDs prancing abt and beating drums on the stage...the jigsaw puzzled became more and more visible and i cldn't wait to see the entire jigsaw puzzle come out...There was one part when a drama team acted and told a simple and touching story about caring for those not-so-privileged pple...and many pple from the public came up without any persuasion to help us...was surprised and touched...well, singaporeans aren't that stingy la...got soft side one...must learn how to press the correct button lah..and viola!

In the end, we managed to get 80% of the jigsaw out...the response was seriously quite good...when u take into account of the lousy location of our stage, it was some ulu corner of IMM level 3...and we didn't get to have the stage the entire day for some reason.....It was a super euphoria moment, when we got to see the completed puzzle, with the aid of the Senior volunteers, we managed to do our ID cheers out there @ IMM and it was funny cos dun think we get to do "3 cheers for ID" in public that often...esp when u have to tahan weird stares from the pple ard u...
den i chao keng...went to giordano to shop straight after the event ended..mayb tt's why i'm not in any of the group pics..sniff

Had a fun time with aveline during the entire day, her dad was really nice..cos he offered to send the both of us to IMM in the morning..and i was late, as usual, but turned out that her dad was later than me...hoho...talked alot to aveline tt sunday...and found her to be one of those nice pple to talk to, very amiable and nice..she quite pretty oso..nice complexion and big big eyes and carries herself well..

ltr on, we went to giordano and shopped for clothes...i bought a sleeveless top and a pair of short pants...it was the last piece available for my size...but the buttons were coming out...so i asked one of the staff to sew the buttons properly for me...We waited for 15mins and rested our feet..cos we stood most of the time during the ID project...when the lady came out, i was shocked by her handicraft...she tied the knots in front of the button...revealing all the knots and ugly looking threads for all to see...aiyo...dunno why lidat...

aveline was saying...this is the kind of service u get, when they are being paid $5/hour..hahaha...i cldn't care less...cos i was damn tired...i will have to redo the stitching myself or ask my maid to help me...haha...

I'm currently addicted to animes...i quite amazed @ the number of animes that i'm currently watching...(bleach, naruto [when will the stupid fillers end], samurai 7, samurai champloo) my mum & dad will scold me for watching anime once i get back from work...sit in front of the computer, eyes glued to the screen, and they will hear some occassional gasps when the scenes get too exciting...and quackie just said,"can you go learn more stuff other than watch anime during ur free time?" aye aye sir...when i'm in the mood!

I just finished watching PRIDE...the j-drama that stars the ever-yandao-forever-attractive, wan ren mi, takuya kimura...it is a damn nice j-drama...i love this quote from the main character, Halu Satonaka..."Love to women is like water to flowers... and his perpetual usage of "maybe" and "must be"...kakkoi!! Don't you love it when Halu kissed Aki's eyelid?
